Charlie (Cat) Catalano is an authentic New Orleans born musician raised in the Crescent City. His 27 plus years in music include live local, national and international performances. His sax and clarinet has been heard on radio and television commercials and he has performed for the PBS Series “This Old House”. Charlie was selected to be one of 36 clarinetists from around the world to represent the US in the 11th and 13th Annual International Festival de La Clarinette on the French Caribbean West Indies Island of Martinique. Charlie enjoys performing all types of music from the variety sounds of West End to Zydeco, Cajun, Rock and Big Band. Being a woodwind specialist, Charlie enjoys playing all sax types, clarinet and flute. If you are lucky, you might catch Charlie playing his banjo or percussion sounds during a West End performance. When not performing, Charlie is in the classroom instructing and educating local students on music appreciation and instrumentation. |
